United Arab Emirates University is the oldest university in the United Arab Emirates. It is the first and oldest of the three government-sponsored institutions of higher learning in the United Arab Emirates (the other two are the Higher Colleges of Technology and Zayed University). Its alumni have provided the United Arab Emirates with ministers, diplomats, senior government officials, and business leaders. Students come from all seven Emirates plus more than 64 countries. 6,696 students live on campus. 2014, enrolled international students constituted 25% of the total enrolled students. The university launched the first PhD program at a national university in the UAE. As a research institution it attracts national, international, and industrial grants. Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management
The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) in Dubai is a hospitality management school. It is a provider of university-level hospitality business education and offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. EAHM works in academic association with Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne and all programmes of study are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates, the Institute of Hospitality in the United Kingdom and THE-ICE (International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education) in Australia.
